Archer STEM Symposium

Event Details

Saturday, May 17, 2025

The mission of the annual Archer STEM Symposium is to empower and celebrate young women in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) in Los Angeles. We provide a platform for showcasing their independent or small group projects to peers, educators, and industry professionals. Our goal is to inspire, motivate, and amplify the voices of the next generation of female STEM leaders, breaking barriers and fostering a supportive community that promotes diversity and innovation.

We invite high school female students or teams of female students who have completed independent research to present at the event (see details below). Any interested parties are invited to attend; this includes but is not limited to peers, family, teachers, and STEM professionals. Presenters and attendees will have an opportunity to network, exchange ideas, and learn about advanced STEM research.

The event will include poster sessions and formal presentations from female students from Los Angeles area high schools, round table discussions, a keynote address, and recognition of the 2025 Research in Science and Engineering (RISE) Scholars.

In addition to presenting a poster, you are invited to apply for the RISE Scholar Award. This award recognizes exceptional young female STEM scholars in the Los Angeles area for their commitment to innovative scientific research and/or engineering and design projects. The RISE Scholars will present their research, be honored at the symposium, and receive a stipend. You can consult the RISE Scholar Award page for more information about the application process and report guidelines.
