Archer’s hallways are filled with music. Student musicians participate in orchestra, chamber groups, musical theater, songwriting, choir, and a cappella.
Through the music program, students develop their voices as instruments and hone their technical skills in music theory, pitch recognition, intonation, rhythmic reading, and notation. Musicians and singers in our music program showcase their skills in two main-stage performances every year.
In our Middle School instrumental music program, every girl chooses an orchestral string instrument and learns to play as part of an ensemble. In both Middle School and Upper School, students hone their skills in chamber groups and in our award-winning orchestras.
In musical theater, girls learn fully choreographed routines to musical numbers from popular shows and showcase their hard work for the Archer community.
The vocal music program includes Middle and Upper School choir and our award-winning a cappella group, The Unaccompanied Minors.
