From ‘First Class’ to ‘Clips and Clicks’: The Oracle Receives Recognition

The Oracle is starting off the year strong with momentum from last year’s accolades. The 2023-2024 Oracle staff received a First Class Rating from the National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) with three marks of distinction. Additionally, they were awarded two wins from the NSPA's Clips and Clicks contest for the spring 2023 semester. The national competition received approximately 896 submissions that were judged by collegiate professors, student media advisers, and professional journalists. Only about 13% of entries were recognized with awards, of which Archer was represented twice. The 2023-2024 editorial board placed 2nd for their AI editorial and Gabby K. ’27 received 5th place for her op-ed about charging her batteries.
