Archer Basketball Zooms to #9 in CIF-SS Poll

Team Has Won Four of Five to Take Over First Place in League
Los Alamitos - The Archer School for Girls (Brentwood) basketball team has climbed into the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section (CIF-SS) 5A Poll for the first time this season after they took over first place in the Liberty League with a pair of big victories last week. The “Top 16” Poll will be released later this afternoon by the CIF-SS Office in Los Alamitos. After playing a very competitive series of Holiday Tournament games in Brentwood, Los Angeles and Phoenix, Archer has won four of their last five games and is sporting a 3-1 record in league play. The girls will play the next four games on the road before returning to Santa Monica College on February 3rd for a 6:00 p.m. game.
