Archer Honors Founders and Celebrates the Class of 2024

Archer’s presented its annual Founders Day and Senior Recognition Ceremony on Wednesday, November 15. 
Head of School Elizabeth English welcomed founders, students, parents of the senior class, and special guests, before presenting Diana Awards to select alumni. The Professional Achievement Award was accepted on behalf of Gabri Miller ’04 by her sister Dominique (Miller) Greene ’01, and Gracie Abrams ’18 sent an acceptance video for her Rising Star Award. 

Student Body President Anaiya A. ’24 gave a speech honoring Archer’s founders and the Class of 2024, before Co-Founder Dr. Diana Meehan told the story of how The Archer School for Girls came to be and Co-Founder Megan Callaway read speeches on behalf of herself and Co-Founder Victoria Shorr. Attendees were then treated to a performance of “Kiss” (by Sixpence None the Richer) by the Unaccompanied Minors.

Acting Upper School Director Tracy Poverstein read 12th Grade Dean of Culture, Community, and Belonging Stephanie Nicolard’s remarks to the Class of 2024 ahead of hosting the Senior Recognition Ceremony. Finally, the Unaccompanied Minors sang the school song, “Within the Walls of Archer,” and Ms. English invited distinguished alumni, board members, and parent guests to a celebration and reception for the Class of 2024 in the Tia Palermo Library.
