Eastern Star Gallery Exhibit Prompts Us to Consider Our ‘Comforts and Sanctuaries’

The Eastern Star Gallery invited families and friends of the Archer community to the opening night of their new exhibit, “Comforts and Sanctuaries,” this past Wednesday evening. Since last year, Archer students have been working on this group show with Tierra Del Sol, an organization that supports people with disabilities through creative pathways to employment, education, and the arts. In collaboration with Tierra Del Sol, Archer students created the title “Comforts and Sanctuaries” and curated the work of many different artists. Last year, students even visited the Tierra Del Sol Gallery in West Hollywood and met with the gallery director in preparation for this exhibition. The opening night was a celebration of the work of Tierra Del Sol artists and their collaboration with our Eastern Star Gallery members. Attendees enjoyed food, drinks, and music along with the art and company.
