2025 Family Ski Trip Hosted by Archer Dads

Friday, March 7, to Monday, March 10
(Early dismissal for all students on Friday at 12:30 p.m. and no school on Monday. Group bus will depart after school buses.
Group bus will board at 1:00 p.m. and depart promptly at 1:30 p.m.)

We have been busy arranging another annual Ski Trip to Mammoth Mountain! Those of you who were with us on any of the past 19 trips know how much fun we’ve had. It’s a chance for our community to share quality time and make new friends. We have all types of skiers and boarders from first-timers to experts. We also have non-skiers who snowmobile, inner tube, ice skate, shop, throw axes or just have fun in the snow. Registration is required for every individual who participates in any or all parts of this trip, including the Sunday Group Dinner.

Please note: Students participating in the ski trip are expected at School for all classes on Friday, March 7 (school day ends at 12:30 p.m.). If a family wants to leave earlier, they must follow Archer’s Transportation Use Policy for early pick-up procedures.

LODGING: Each family is responsible for their own accommodations. We recommend rooms/condos at the Village Lodge and Mammoth Estates, as well as hotel rooms at the Westin Monache Resort Mammoth. This will allow you to make your own choice between staying with friends or family in a shared condo, booking private accommodations in your own hotel room, or finding other accommodations. The condos and hotel are close to each other, spacious, comfortable, and a short walk to the Mammoth Village and its gondola.
Village Lodge Condos: Click here to book a condo by Wednesday, February 5, 2025. Review the information closely, as there are additional fees and cancellation restrictions.
Mammoth Estate Condos: Click here to book a condo (be sure your area is set to “The Village” and the complex is “Mammoth Estates”). Use promo code: RETURN15 for a 15% off discount. Review the information closely, as there are additional fees and cancellation restrictions. They also offer travel insurance, which is highly recommended, especially after the past 2 year’s storms.
If you would like to have a condo roommate, you’re ultimately responsible for setting that up. To help find roommates, we have set up this Google sheet.

: Click here to book a hotel room. Group rates are not available for this year’s trip.

TRANSPORTATION: Leave the driving to us! Travel in style in a modern comfortable bus. The bus ride is a chance to spend quality time with your Archer girl, meet other dads and community members, and enjoy the view for a change. Buses are expected to begin loading at Archer at 1:00 pm. and depart promptly at 1:30 p.m.! The bus has a restroom and includes transportation with a pizza stop at Pizza Factory in Lone Pine on the way up and a lunch pick-up at Schat’s Bakery in Bishop on the way back down. Both businesses are longtime partners of the Ski Trip, and renowned in the region. Water and snacks will also be provided. Students are required to have an adult chaperone on the bus; this can either be their parent or a friend's parent. You are also welcome to drive up on your own or caravan with some of us leaving right after school, if interested.

COSTS AND WHAT’S INCLUDED: Archer Dads works hard to make the trip both affordable and comfortable for everyone. If surplus funds are generated, they go to help organize, defray the costs, and provide assistance for future events and activities. Please note this trip is non-refundable.
Package A (the full package) - $335: Includes Registration Fee, Bus Transportation, Sunday Group Dinner and Bowling, and Commemorative Gear
Package B - $110: Includes Registration Fee, Sunday Group Dinner and Bowling, and Commemorative Gear (Bus Transportation is NOT included).
When registering, please enter the names of each individual attending the trip so we can issue the mandatory waivers.

WHO: This is a cherished father-daughter tradition. Any Archer parent who would like to accompany their Archer girl(s) is welcome to attend. If a parent is not available to attend, another adult relative may attend. Additional family members are also invited to participate but they must pay the registration fee to be included in group activities. NO EXCEPTIONS.

EQUIPMENT RENTALS: Thanks to Archer Dad Riccardo Specchierla, we have secured group rates for lessons, lift tickets, and rentals. Call 800-MAMMOTH (1-800-626-6684) by Friday, February 21, 2025, for reservations (reference Archer Dads, Booking ID #36025 when booking). After Friday, February 21, 2025, activities may be purchased at the retail rate. Ski Butlers is another available resource, which includes exclusive discounted rates on rentals that are conveniently delivered directly to your lodging. You can also rent equipment in L.A. (at popular places like ValSurf.com) and bring it on the bus or rent through MammothMountain.com at Canyon Lodge or at the bottom of the Village Gondola. DO NOT accidentally rent or book lessons at Main or Eagle Lodge. If you are arriving on our bus, don’t rent elsewhere in Mammoth. The bus will not ferry anyone to rental shops. We are strongly encouraging you to rent at MammothMountain.com this year and get the premium package (includes a locker and rentals ready in advance).

TRIP INSURANCE: Every year several families cancel due to illness or conflicts. For the past two years, portions of our trips were canceled due to storms and we received very minimal refunds. We highly recommend that you purchase 3rd party travel insurance.
